Archaeology and heritage are the remnants of our shared past which have meaning and relevance in the present. In our projects we work closely with our clients and professional contracting partners to conserve this shared heritage for the benefit of the wider public.
This will normally comprise the production of documents and records, created to record what has been lost, or understand how change may affect a historic feature or locale.
However, we believe that for our work to provide public benefits we need to go beyond the production of technical and academic reports and records. We work regularly with our clients to encourage engagement of local groups with our work, and have expertise and experience in developing innovative strategies to achieve this. From public open days to oral history projects we can help to realise public benefits from a wide range of contexts enhancing both appreciation of the heritage values of the site, and public perceptions of our clients’ work.
