Introduction and description of the role
Landgage Heritage is a growing archaeology and heritage consultancy, which serves clients across the UK from our two offices in West Sussex and Sheffield. We work across many industries for a wide range of clients, with many diverse and interesting projects. We have a reputation for working with rigour, professionalism and care.
We are looking for an experienced, innovative and ambitious person to join our Sheffield office, to help lead the existing team of consultants and grow our client base in the region. This role is part of our strategic growth plan, and the successful applicant will play an important part in the development of the business.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company, with a chance to help manage and implement complex projects, gain valuable experience and skills, and with significant prospects for career development and promotion for a motivated individual. We offer a supportive working environment, and value staff development, collaboration and teamwork.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone with some established clients, evidence of delivering challenging projects, and of leading negotiations on behalf of clients. Applicants will have previous consultancy experience, including experience with the management of clients, a proven track record of delivering projects and developing a client base. They should also have a strong understanding of the legal and policy framework which governs heritage within the planning system and should be able to advise clients confidently on more complex projects.
Applicants should have experience of, and a high competence in, the production of archaeological and heritage assessments, environmental statement chapters and WSIs. Experience of giving evidence at appeal would be advantageous.
Applicants must also have a full UK drivers’ licence and be willing to travel regularly for site meetings and visits. Applicants should also be competent with Office software (MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), and competence with GIS would be advantageous.
We are looking for someone to help lead our northern office in Sheffield. The role would therefore be based in that office, with the successful applicant playing an active role in the office. We do, however, support reasonable flexible working arrangements.
We are committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace where everyone is respected, valued and supported. We welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. If you require any adjustments to ensure you can fully participate in the recruitment process, please let us know.
